There are a wide-range of health benefits that come along with regular practice of Vedic Meditation, including reducing anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Click here to check out some of the research supporting these wonderful benefits. Basically, any condition that is caused or exacerbated by stress may be positively impacted by our practice. But it’s important to remember, that Vedic Meditation is one arrow in our quiver. We shouldn’t rule out other interventions that may help us, including diet, exercise, psychotherapy and medication.

As most of you know, I had suffered from anxiety, depression and insomnia for most of my life, starting as a child. As an adult, I was doing everything I thought I should be doing to help myself. For years, therapy and medication helped to keep my head above water. I wasn’t drowning, but I certainly wasn’t swimming to shore either. When I learned Vedic Meditation, that changed. My therapy sessions in particularly became much more effective. I could actually start to implement the changes I been wanting to make and discussing with my therapist ad nauseam. It was the great catalyst for me. Other lifestyle changes came about that I wouldn’t have consider remotely viable before I started meditating.
